Do you know about the Japanese art of Kumihimo? Translated as "gathered threads", there are various methods to weaving Kumihimo, and the jewelry trend often involves weaving beads into the cords. The finished beaded Kumihimo cords are used as necklaces and bracelets. Most commonly, they are woven with a Kumihimo disc into a thick round shape. The ends are tied off and sealed, and can be glued or crimped into end caps and clasps. Many of our customers use our Regaliz® and large round magnetic clasps to finish their jewelry. Below is a selection of clasps to try with your Kumihimo jewelry project. Happy weaving!!
