Rivets are used in leather working and jewelry designs to join and fasten leather. They can be purely decorative or can be used to secure clasps, sliders, or buttons to leather jewelry.
Use this rivet setter with 4mm rivets. The setters have a concave shape that prevents rivets from flattening or losing their round shape.
Directions to make a leather bracelet using rivets:
- For a 6 inch wrist, measure approximately 8 inches of flat leather and cut.
- Loop leather around clasp and punch hole in leather using rotary hole punch.
- Insert rivet back through leather and push in rivet top.
- Place rivet setter over the rivet and hammer to secure leather.
